We have sold Mary T and she has been renamed Morning Star. We’re not sure what comes next but we’re pretty sure there will be another boat involved.
Our sailboat, Mary T, is a 1984 Morgan 38-4, designed by Ted Brewer.
She is 38 feet, 4 inches long, 12 feet wide, and has a 5 foot draft.
Her crew consists of Amy Flannery and Ken Kurlychek and was named after Ken’s mother.
We purchased her in December, 2003, and moved aboard in May, 2007, to begin cruising the East coast of North and Central America. Mary T is currently in Bradenton, FL.
Amy, a professional filmmaker, has produced two documentaries about our voyages:
- Cruising on the Mary T: Nova Scotia to the Bahamas
- Cruising on the Mary T: Newfoundland’s Southwest Coast
She also filmed and directed the documentary, Red Dot on the Ocean, now available through multiple sources.
